Physical Copies Available Earlier than the 20th

Wednesday Evening Stephen Reid updated everyone with dates on when we can get our hands on the physical copies of the game and when those whom have downloaded can get their Game Codes.  Europeans will be very happy.

For our friends accross the pond the 15th of December is the day they can pick up their physical copies of the game in retail stores accross Europe.  Those whom are Origin savvy can get their Game Codes on the 16th of December.  Finally those of us whom pre-ordered through physical brick and mortar stores, within the U.S. and Canada, can pick up our copies on official launch day, December 20th.

If you pre-ordered the game or purchase it on the 15th/16th/20th, you will be given 30 days of game access for free, but you still have to register a valid launch game code and payment method.  You can either pay by registering a valid credit card or purchasing one of the 60-Day Pre-Paid Cards.  The seven days, or less for those unlucky ones, or Early Game Access play time does not cut into your 30-days of free play time.  Those 30 days begin when you enter your launch game code either on or after December 20th.  There will be no grace time between Early Game Access and when you input your launch code.

Stephen Reid was kind enough to clarify these issues for us on the main SW:TOR forums.  I hope to see you all in game on December 13th for Early Game Access, and then in line at GameStop on the 20th!

About Malice

  1. Okay… I love that they are working with people (praying my snail mail gets a head start to me) but I was wondering one thing.

Our European friends were behind us at the start (December 22nd release if I remember correctly) how is it that they are now ahead of us by 5 days?

  2. Not to mention the fact that the people who pre-ordered from a store get cut off the night before and have to wait til morning to pickup their copy.
