This weeks episode of the TOROcast we give Jeffery a call to see how he's doing. And our main topics of discussion for the week are looting in operations, and discussing why people are leaving the game.
Welcome back to a new round of Casual Thursday. Last week I wrote about my perspective on the Sith society and their philosophy, this week I’ll point my arrows at their counterpart, the Jedi.
Game Patch 1.1.1 we see a lot of bug fixing especially in Flashpoints and Operations. I believe I even see a fix for one of JJ's complaints from Episode 137 in there as well with Karagaa's palace. I have to say that seeing big patches like this as often as we are proves that BioWare is doing their best to get the game to everyone's standards already expected.
The captain and Arako'ant have been saved for the moment by a unexpected guest. The bounty hunter was more inclined to help them, then either of the two would have expected, or want. For the help, the bounty hunter demanded to accompany them. Why? What is the Mandelorian's angle? And how to find the archaeologist? Find out in a new episode of Friend or Foe.
Today’s patch fixes some of the combat issues found in Star Wars: The Old Republic. The delay when activating the player abilities during low framerate situations has been significantly improved. I noticed this myself last night while PvP’ing where I hit some rough spots due to an insane number of bolts of lighting flying across my screen. To view today’s full list of patch notes read on below.
With the new format being widely accepted by our listeners we continued on just openly discussing SWTOR. This week our focus is on Game Update 1.1 and Patch 1.1.0a. We talk about some of the problems with Ilum that arose and how much fun Samm had playing in Ilum as a republic player.
The future certainly is looking bright for The Old Republic. Patch 1.1 Rise of the Rakghouls has just hit and Bioware reveals a new video detailing what we can expect in the coming months. Video is below.
BioWare is making a solid attempt at fixing Ilum with Patch 1.1.0a. After yesterday's mess where players took advantage of leveling up their Valor very quickly on Ilum. Today BioWare's patch addresses some of the issues we saw during our time in Ilum. BioWare has reduced Ilum's population cap to a currently undisclosed number. It also does not say if it will keep the sides balanced. Which unfortunately means we could very well still see the problem of imbalance on the planet. Game optimizations have also been made to help improve Ilum's performance. For the full notes read below.
So you’ve been playing SWTOR for a month. You love the game so much that you’ve registered for your second month of play time. We have great news for you then. You have earned yourself a special title of “Founder”. If you’re a title whore as I am then this news will excite you. If not, well, I guess it’s a reward that you don’t really care about.
With Patch 1.1 hitting today people swarmed to Illum to try out the new changes and continue the previously broken daily quests. However, with the current faction imbalance in favour of the Empire, the Republic are restricted to their Base, while the Sith free farm. Bioware has made a post for feedback on Illum and its not pretty. Read on at your own risk.
